Coral Coast Resorts

ONE of the first Fiji holiday regions to be developed was the Coral Coast and today it continues to be one of the popular vacation destination choices. Most Coral Coast resorts and hotels are accessible by road from Nadi International Airport in about 1-2 hours, making them easy to get to. After passing green landscapes of hills and sugar cane fields, the highway then travels along the famous coastline, providing beautiful ocean views of the famous fringing reef.

In addition to the large all-inclusive resorts such as the Naviti, Warwick, Outrigger, Hideaway and Shangri-La's Fijian Resort are other accommodation options. Budget resorts and lodgings are popular at Korotogo. Luxury villa accommodation is also found, such as the Myola Plantation.

Interesting places to visit along the Coral Coast includes the huge sand dunes at Sigatoka - guided tours are available - and the Kula Eco Park at Korotogo, where Fiji's fauna, flora and culture can be viewed. Pacific Harbour (at the far end of the Coral Coast) and Suva, the nation's capital, are also interesting to visit.
